About Ms. Toewe

Welcome to 4th grade!!!

I am so excited and honored to be teaching your child this year.  This year will be an exciting year of growth and discovery for everyone.  I look forward to getting to know your children and you.

I am a RRISD native having attended Spicewood Elementary, Canyon Vista Middle School, Westwood High School and then finally, The University of Texas at Austin. I have a bachelor degree in elementary education with a secondary degree in Special Education.  I also have my TAG certification as well as an ESOL certification.  After graduation, I started my teaching career at Laurel Mountain working as the Special Ed. Resource teacher for 11 years.  While teaching Special Education, I had the wonderful opportunity to co-teach with Karin McCullough.  This partnership is one of the many reasons why Karin and I decided to team up together for our departmentalizing.  I absolutely love this age and the curriculum.  This will be my 8th year teaching 4th grade.

My 13 year old daughter, Macie, will be in 8th grade this year at Canyon Vista Middle School.  As a parent, I know how important it is to have a caring and nurturing teacher.  I truly appreciate any communication between parents and teachers so that we, as a team, can make this an AWESOME year!!!

Over this year your child will be encouraged to challenge themselves, take risks, and make mistakes as they develop their full potential as a learner. As their teacher it, is my job to create a safe and nurturing environment where they can be successful.

We will be holding a grade level orientation on  to give you more details about the coming year.  In the meantime, please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.  I can be contacted by phone during my planning period (12:50 - 1:40) or after school.  You may also email me at any time.

Thanks so much for sharing your child with me!!!
